Department of Defense awarded a contract performing at Balad Air Base, Iraq for $19,296,927 firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-reimbursement contract (FA8617-21-C-6237) for contractor logistics support of Iraq’s C-172 & C-208 fleets.

The award provides for the exercise of options to extend the term of the contract for the continued services that may be needed in order to effectively maintain and operate a fleet. The location of performance is Balad Air Base, Iraq, and work is expected to be complete by June 30, 2022.

Department of Defense has awarded $10,303,353 firm-fixed-price task order N39430-21-F-4141 under a multiple award construction contract for inspection and repair of fuel storage tanks at Naval Station Rota, Spain.

According to the Department of Defense (DOD) $13,538,239 contract is being awarded for base operating support services at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni.  The maximum dollar value including the base period and four option years is $75,883,617. Work will be performed in Iwakuni, Japan, and is expected to be completed by June 2026.  No funds will be obligated at time of award.

The work to be performed provides for base operating support services at MCAS Iwakuni include family housing maintenance and repair, facilities repair and maintenance, custodial services, grounds maintenance, wastewater operations, and maintenance and environmental services.  Fiscal 2021 operation and maintenance (Navy and Marine Corps) contract funds in the amount of $8,720,037 for recurring work will be obligated on individual task orders issued during the base period.

It includes data on DoD contractor personnel deployed in Afghanistan, Operation Freedom’s Sentinel (OFS); Iraq and Syria, Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR); and the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) area of responsibility (AOR).

KEY POINTS: During 2nd quarter FY21, USCENTCOM reported approximately 37,597 contractor personnel supporting DoD in the USCENTCOM AOR, a decrease of approximately 567 from the previous quarter.

According to the Department of Defense (DoD), Colorado Springs, Colorado, is awarded a $13,298,272 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity modification to a task order (N6945021F0504) to exercise Option One under previously-awarded contract N62742-16-D-3552 for base operations support services at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay in the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast area of responsibility.

This award brings the total cumulative value of the contract to $39,198,267. Work will be performed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and is expected to be completed by September 2021.

According to the Department of Defense (DoD) a company out of Reston, Virginia, is awarded a $9,964,864 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for contractor support to operate and maintain the active and passive sonar systems necessary to provide mobile undersea acoustic surveillance capabilities.

Technical support includes systems engineering, program and configuration management, hardware and software development, installation, maintenance, sustainment, and training in support of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) activities, ISR systems, and cybersecurity operations.

This three-year contract includes one two-year option period which, if exercised, would bring the overall potential value of this contract to an estimated $249,743,883. The period of performance of the base award is from March 3, 2021, through March 2, 2024. If all options are exercised, the period of performance would extend through March 2, 2026. Awardees will have the opportunity to compete for task orders during the ordering period.
