Diakon Logistics, New Braunfels, TX June 2016 – Present – Assistant Operations Manager

Oversees the duties of four employees to ensure timely and flawless home deliveries for the client, a nationwide leading furniture retailer through 21 delivery teams.  Responsible for hiring and onboarding new owner/operators while enforcing contractual and DOT standards.  Develops metrics and reports to conduct P&L analysis and budgeting.  Forecasts resources for upcoming scheduled and unscheduled deliveries.

  • Expertly implemented solutions to improve quality of product handling resulting in a 10% increase in quality deliveries based on client models and metrics; the highest in the client’s history.
  • Spearheaded the development and implementation of the location’s standard operating procedures to encourage an easy transition to new employees. Authored three SOPs with Work Instructions, and supervised the publication of four others.  

GDC Technics, Fort Worth, TX 2015-2016 – Warehouse Manager and Strategic Resource Planner

Oversaw the operations of shipping, receiving, storage and issue of special tools, chemicals, and aircraft parts to include engineered in-house prototype parts.  Lead 24 exempt employees in two locations to ensure timely delivery of critical regulatory certified parts (FAA, EASA, GACA) for Very Very Important Person (VVIP) aircraft interior completions.  Maintained stock levels, production schedule, and employee administration through Enterprise Resource Planning systems of Oracle and Automatic Data Processing, Inc.
