Serve as the Casualty Assistance Manager and Retirement Services Officer for the Ansbach Military Community. As the Casualty Assistance Officer, I am responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of casualties that occur within the Ansbach
Garrison Areas of Responsibilities which includes Deaths of active duty military personnel, DA and Department of Defense (DOD) civilian employees, their immediate family members, US Army retired personnel and personnel who are classified by medical authorities as very seriously wounded, injured or ill. I ensure the accuracy of casualty information through personnel management and records research, telephonic inquiries and coordination, and other available means. Obtain personal information and personnel management data pertaining to casualties from Military and
Civilian Personnel offices. Prepares and dispatches casualty reports for the European Theater. As the Retirement Services Officer, I provide personalized in-depth counseling and assistance to eligible active duty Army personnel, retired Soldiers, their dependents, or survivors ON such topics regarding retirement, matters relating to personal affairs, rights, benefits, and privileges to include benefits and
services administered by other federal, state, local agencies and civic and public-interest organizations. I maintain liaison with the Retirement Service Office Manager at HQ Installation Management Command and Regions, and HQDA G-1 Retirement Services Office. I assist in administering the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) briefings and one-on-one counseling with soldiers and family members concerning SBP options and entitlements. Assist soldiers and family members in: making the SBP selection in accordance with established law; computing cost of monthly premium; and completing DD Form 2656 (Data For Payment of Retired Personnel). I processes DD Form 2656 to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service Cleveland for survivors of retired soldiers and soldiers who die on active duty regarding their SBP options and entitlements. Also I am the site security manager for the DEERS/Rapids ID Card system and certified as a passport acceptance agent for the MPD.

Manage military personnel (enlisted/officer) strength within the organization. Responsible for planning, monitoring, and implementing military personnel management. I serve as the military technical expert and advisor on all personnel matters. To include in/out processing of Military and DoD Civilians Employees. Update records for military personnel, process personnel actions, submit pay
inquiries for both Military and Civilian Employees to start/stop foreign entitlements, and correct pay problems for new hires. Keep track of current and projected unit strength data, gathering input from various military HR personnel databases such as Electronic Military Personnel Office (eMILPO), Total Officer Personnel Management Information (TOPMIS II) and Enlisted Distribution and Assignment System (EDAS). I routinely receive/review documents/orders for uploading to individual personnel file. Conduct record reviews, process end of tour awards, and upload records to soldier’s permanent file using the Interactive Personnel Electronics Record Management (iPERMS). Process redeployment for civilian employees ensuring personnel are thoroughly briefed transiting from theater and provided proper clearance to properly exit country. Use the Deployed Theater Accountability System (DTAS) to track and
account for military/civilian personnel in theater and to report personnel status to higher headquarters.
