Education

Masters Degree in Personnal Administration / Industrial Relations from St. Francis University.  Part time evening program in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Received the degree in May 1992.

Bachelors Degree in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in May 1988.

Close to completing a degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, Pittsburgh Center.

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) in Word and Excel.

Experience

I am a retired corrections officer 1 and 2 from the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections for 19 years.  I was also an Administration and Management Trainee for 15 months as a Training Coordinator at the PA State Correctional Institution at Waynesburg (prison now closed).

I was an Administration and Management Trainee and Personnal Analyst 1 (Labor Relations Anaylst) at the PA Department of Corrections Central Office in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania for close to a year.

I was a corrections officer and sergeant at the PA State Correctional Institution at Pittsburgh (prison now mothballed) for 15 years.

I was a corrections officer and sergeant at the PA State Correctional Institition at Greene (in Greene County, Waynesburg, PA) for a little over four years before my retirement.

I was an International Corrections Trainer and Deputy Director advising the human recources officer on the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program, or ICITAP, program contractor in Baghdad, Iraq for a little over four years. This was a joint funded program from the US Department of State and US Department of Justice to provide corrections officer training and assistance to the Iraqi Correctional Service — the Corrections Mission in Iraq from 2005 to 2010.

I was a site security lead for one year at the temporary United States Embassy in the International Zone in Iraq for one year.

Presently I am a Captain at the Allegheny County Jail (ACJ) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The ACJ has over 2000 inmates and currently is the second largest county jail in Pennsylvania.  I have been a Captain at the ACJ for 18 months.
