AIRCRAFT MARSHALLER
Duties and Responsibilities
Marshalling of incoming and outbound aircraft from the flight line, using hand and torch
signals.
Use standard ICAO marshalling signals and make sure all marshallers and back crew
comply with ICAO, SOW and IATA requirements with regard to personal protective
equipment
Positioning of step ladders, platforms for easy embarkment and disembarkment of
passengers and cargo.
Safe and effective ground movement of aircraft, including the supervision of safe start up
procedures by use of relevant related actions.
Assisting in start-up procedures by operating ground support equipment as electrical
ground supply and engine start carts.
Receive flight information from ATC and disseminate it to other airport users like
information personnel, airline operators and management.
Cleaning of both interior and exterior of aircraft using specified chemicals, rugs, brushes
and pressure hoses.
Directing pilots where to park aircraft on the apron
Reporting mechanical, operational and safety problems associated with company
vehicles and ground support equipment.
Investigated causes of accidents and recommends safety measures for preventing further
occurrences.
Ensure operational inspection of towing devices and equipment before and after every
use.
Ensure safety on the apron at all times during towing operations, effectively
communicate and relay information to tow truck operator as relayed by back crew.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for fuelling and servicing aircraft and the safe and efficient operation of
equipment used in fuelling aircraft in an exterior work environment that involves diverse
weather condition.

Ensured effective Tool Control program and Inventory control was maintained.
Used fuel trucks, hydrant carts and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
