Maintenance Supervisor 08/ 1983 to 04/2006
- Supervise all aspects of scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance of 21 UH-60 helicopters on six different (FOB’s) forward operating base in Iraq; crew chief full mission qualified for day and night flights progressed to RL1, total of 528 flight hours consisting of over 100 under NVG’s and 304 combat hours.
- Aircraft maintenance and electrical technical inspector responsible for supervising 41 mechanics and seven shop personnel, scope of maintenance responsibilities includes routine inspections 10, 100 and 120 inspections. Perform and supervise maintenance and repair on aircraft systems installation removal of engines, transmissions, gearboxes and other components, preformed flight control rigging adjustments that ensured the flight safety of the aircraft.
- Responsibilities also include diagnostic and troubleshooting malfunctions of avionics and electrical systems along with the auxiliary power unit. Conduct duties of Technical Inspector on aircraft phase inspections, maintain weight and balance records, ensure aircraft maintenance was conducted in accordance with unit and Army SOPs and regulations.
- Perform pre phase inspections and post phase test fights inspections. Maintain aircraft logbooks, automated maintenance forms and ensure all records where updated and filed in accordance with unit and Army SOPs and regulations.
- Awarded Sikorsky Aircraft Mechanic’s Maintenance award in 199 5and 2005 and Sikorsky Unit Maintenance award in 2005.
- Resident course instruction for the UH-60 Blackhawk 15T and Avionics 15N course provided technical guidance to all students learning aircraft and systems maintenance procedures.
- Responsible for care and maintenance of 1UH-60 Blackhawk valued over $14 million. Also responsible for receipt, installation and return of retrofit kits.
