Performs duties as a law enforcement officer and understands the role of a law enforcement officer in preserving good order & enforcement. Understands technique for crisis intervention and demonstrate proficiency in arrest techniques. Trained in conducting felony stops and apprehension. Expert in patrol firearm use and understands & demonstrates the ability to render legally defensible actions in the use of force, arrest and search & seizure. Conducts investigations, interrogations and apprehension. Duties include crime prevention, preservation of crime scene evidence, enforcement of appropriate criminal and traffic laws, patrols, physical security responsibilities, crowd control, custodial operations and other safety duties and prepares records and reports. Supervises and trains subordinates; recommends enhancements to physical security of military installations, property and personnel; supervises and trains in antiterrorism defense and weapons proficiency; implements defense measures to combat threats; maintains liaison with appropriate public service agencies; plans, implements and controls activities; establishes goals and priorities; reviews personnel, equipment and material requirements and forecasts future requirements; develops operating budgets and monitors expenditures. Respond to emergency calls, complaints and other calls for service and renders first aid if needed. Duty Armorer, maintains weapons and issues and receives weapons, ammunition, radios and other police equipment. Police Dispatcher, receives call emergency calls for service and dispatches the appropriate personal for service calls.
