Instructed course material covering basic and advanced principles of Host Nation Security Force employment by teaching tactics relating to Dignitary Protection Operations, Embassy Reinforcement, Crisis Response, and Border Operations. Skills learned in these functional areas improved the capabilities of Host Nations Security Forces in accomplishing their assigned mission in support of Counterterrorism operations and objectives related to Partner Nations National Security interests as directed by the U.S. State Department. 

• Selected as a subject matter expert with skills and knowledge related to improving the functions of security forces by delivering various courses by the U.S. State Department. 
• Delivered courses based on adult learning concepts to improve security forces’ capabilities in performing their assigned duties. 
• Responsible for delivery of training that focuses on the performance of weapons handling skills, conducting situational exercises, and evaluating tactics related to security patrols, vehicle checkpoints, tactical combat causality care (TCCC), and other approved subject matter directed by DS/T/ATA. 
• Supervised training events to access knowledge retention and maintain safety while evaluating the application of the U.S. State Department-approved curriculum. 
• Established effective communications for the day-to-day implementation and liaised with the Training Delivery Officer through the lead facilitator on all aspects of training.

Weapons and Tactics Instructor (Contractor) 

Threat Management Group | Ladson, SC Mar. 2011 – Jul. 2016 

Developed and instructed numerous Periods of Instruction covering Basic and Advanced Marksmanship, Small Unit Tactics, Close Quarters Battle, Land Navigation, and other Mission Essential Skills necessary for accomplishing command objectives. Additionally, developed and implemented training strategies to meet security force requirements and increase mission success based on an analysis of current issues deployed forces face in permissive and non-permissive operations. 

• Conducted classroom instruction on the safe and effective handling of service weapons necessary for force protection assignments in CONUS and OCONUS assignments. 
• Ensured that all course material was relevant to operations conducted by military forces operating in High Threat Areas. Final exercises were used to evaluate the retention of material related to mission objectives. 
• Implemented a training management schedule to maximize time in developing necessary skills essential to mission-specific tasks for use in operational environments that personnel might encounter. 
• Supervised training events in a safe manner with a focus on increasing mission capabilities and success in the performance of security force duties in support of assigned missions in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Military Training Analyst (Contractor) 

Engility | Afghanistan Oct. 2013 – Jun. 2014 

Oversaw and managed the training of the Afghan National Army (ANA) training in various weapon systems and tactical subjects. In addition, the training provided training programs for ANA and Afghan National Police (ANP) personnel operating in a counterinsurgency environment. 

• Provided feedback to the Senior Military Training Analyst (MTA) regarding course content to keep current tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP). 
• Conducted training and practical exercises and assisted in evaluations of student performance; provided familiarization training/firing on foreign weapons expected in the A.O. (Area of Operation). 
• Developed new training materials and existing revised classes as required; created instructions on field zeroing, assembly, disassembly, and immediate and remedial actions for OEF (Operation Enduring Freedom) Theater foreign weapons. 
• Performed assessments of training to determine gaps in learning as a part of instructional improvements necessary for program advancement in support of the Mission Essential Task List (MESL) based on mission analysis of training objectives. 

Infantry Unit Leader

Designed and implemented training and risk management plans from concept to completion in complex and austere environments and formulated detailed lessons learned reports that enabled the effective sustainment of implemented risk management controls, reducing risk-related attrition by ~90%.
