As a member of the logistics team for the division for APAC assist in the distribution of key components for installations, spare parts and maintenance. Key roles included:
- Provide logistics support for the inbound and outbound movement of Hexagon Mining products throughout Australia and overseas. Despatch (packaging of shipments) and receipting of freight for project installations, spare parts and repair maintenance

Evans & Peck is an Australian based international consulting company. It provides Project and Business Advisory services to the infrastructure and resources sectors.
Involved in specialist consulting assignments including management and strategic advice on logistic aspects of all projects. Key projects included:
- APLNG (ConocoPhillips) – Development of Gladstone Area Logistic Plan (Downstream and Gladstone surrounds) designed to support the construction and operation of the Curtis Island LNG Plant and other facilities in and around Gladstone region including any movement of proposed equipment, materials and personnel through Gladstone’s rail, road, air and waterways (Port of Gladstone, Auckland Point, and Gladstone Marina).
- APLNG (Origin) – Development of Gas Fields Region Logistics Plan (Upstream) under a very stringent timeline addressing the key project areas located in the Gas Fields Region.
Procurement / Logistic Officer – Gulf Leighton LLC (TARIN KOWT, AFGHANISTAN)(2010)
The Al Habtoor Leighton Group is one of the leading multi-disciplined contractors in the Middle East and North Africa. It functions through its two core operating companies, Al Habtoor Engineering and Gulf Leighton LLC, and through its diverse range of complementary Associated Businesses.
Key role involved a wide variety of tasks associated with the Procurement and Logistic chain for Critical Materials and Equipment to be shipped into Afghanistan. This included and was not restricted to:
- Monitor the logistics situation of all containers of critical materials and freight including dangerous goods shipped to Afghanistan.
- Evaluating the logistic performance / competence / progress of Vendors for any further business associated with them.
- Procurement of critical materials within Afghanistan and other areas such as food, laundry, fuel, etc.
- Active as Company First Aid Officer to provide patient care and performed simple triage systems.
- Promotes Gulf Leighton’s business to all prospective clients.
Procurement & Logistic Officer – Copenhagen Contractors A/S (TARIN KOWT, AFGHANISTAN) (2010)
Copenhagen Contractors A/S is focused on assisting international stabilization forces and peacekeeping missions in areas of natural disasters and civil unrest. The company specializes in four primary business areas: facilities management, construction, heavy construction equipment and horizontal directional drilling. My role involved a wide variety of tasks associated with the Procurement and Logistic processes for Materials and Equipment to be shipped within or into Afghanistan. This included and was not restricted to:
- Coordinated the supply and logistics of materials to support various projects
- Promoted Copenhagen Contractors’ business to all prospective clients conferring with potential clients, and managers to discuss existing or potential projects.
- Purchased materials and equipment including dangerous goods and coordinated the transfer of this material and equipment to Afghanistan
Training Consultant – SkillsTech Australia (2002 – 2010)
SkillsTech Australia is the lead TAFE institute for training in automotive, building and construction, manufacturing and engineering, electrical/electronic and sustainable technologies throughout Queensland for over 14,000 students. My role as a Training Consultant included:
- Liaise with employers to facilitate the achievement of learning outcomes through the project management of training programs, products and services.
- Ensure that the Institute’s contractual obligations are met, through maintaining thorough records of client training needs, training programs provided and associated financial and contractual reporting documentation.
Operations Sergeant (Logistics) – Australian Defence Force
Joint Movement Control Office, Darwin & United Nations East Timor – PKF HQ (Air Operations, Sea Operations) (1986 – 2002)
Joint Movement Control Offices are responsible for the movement of military and civilian personnel and equipment by all modes of transport, including air, rail, sea and road. As the Operations Sergeant of JMCO Darwin my duties included:
Responsibilities include:
- Plan, coordinate and oversee complex transport operations (air, sea, rail and road)
- Plan, coordinate and implement the clearance of all freight and cargo within the mission area.
- Manifest personnel and loads to modes for all locations in and beyond mission area
- Coordinated movement of cargo and personnel for internal air operations ensuring priorities from management are kept.
- Liaise with civilian companies regarding contracts ensuring regulations of major contracts are maintained
- Day to day operation of the unit and management of staff and oversee all administration and discipline procedures
- Resource allocation, Management and Forecasting for operational budget through monitoring expenditure and financial reporting
- Future planning of unit activities and production and implementation of unit training and development
- Command a Movements Detachment, responsible for its leadership and administration in areas such as correspondence, communications, IS and finances.
- Conduct movement liaison with military units and civilian organisations
- Plan the best utilisation of available transport assets against stated priorities
- Drafted, published and promulgated Movement Orders, to ensure that the plan was clear to all concerned, giving straightforward guidelines.

Achievements include:
- Awarded the Australian Defence Force Commendation for exemplary performance as the Operations Supervisor during the initial transition of foreign forces to East Timor.
- A team leader of a dedicated team in operations under arduous conditions awarded an Australian Defence Force Organisational Commendation for the successful deployment of Force elements to East Timor
- Lead a well-coordinated team of local staff to successfully supply bottled water throughout East Timor in time of conflict. The team operated smoothly, and objectives were achieved to deadlines.
- Efficient movement of troops and equipment for military exercises by use of timelines and defining responsibilities, allocation of resources and budget tracking for all parties was through effective project management. Supported by a team of 20 personnel, we were able to move a large volume of troops and equipment from point A to point B within strict timelines, resource and budgetary constraints and changing priorities
- Assessed, designed and implemented a new office layout and procedures, thus improving safety and more positive working environment
- Increased operational capability in relation to the provision of logistic support for Defence movement organizations, thereby ensuring client needs are met on time and within budget.
