Summary
I’ve been working in Desktop Support since 1999. I’ve worked in very small companies with a handful of users, all the way up to a large aerospace company with tens of thousands of users. The systems in those companies also varied widely in complexity with some using only a few widely available applications with a lot of support, to ones with multiple proprietary applications with very little support.

Experience
From Oct 2016 to Feb 2017 – My most recent position was as a Mobile Device Administrator at Matrix Medical Network. My job was to administer 1,800+ tablets from building new devices, rebuilding older devices, and the secure destruction of retired equipment.
From Oct 2011 to Oct 2015 – I was working as a contractor to the National Science Foundation as a part of the United States Antarctic Program at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. I’ve spent several seasons working down there as a Senior Computer Technician and one season as a Communications Technician. Most of my work involved standard desktop support type work only under harsh environmental conditions.
From May 2008 to Oct 2011 – I worked for Hewlett Packard. I started doing hardware warranty replacement. I then moved into HPs Bank of America contract where I performed onsite desktop support services.
From Feb 04 to Nov 07 – I worked at a telemarketing company in a mostly desktop support position that also required some light network administrative type work as well. About half way through my tenure I was given the opportunity to administer an outbound dialing system. I had no experience at all but my boss thought it was something I could pickup quickly and he was right. I spent about a year or so as the Dialer Administrator before the company was sold and our location subsequently closed.
