Professional Overseas Contractors
According the Department of Defense (DoD) — AAI Corp. Hunt Valley, Maryland, was awarded an $82,215,853 contract to acquire Shadow Unmanned Aircraft systems performance-based logistics and sustainment/operations. Fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance (Army) and other procurement funds in the amount of $15,599,124 were obligated at the time of the award. After award of this modification, the total cumulative contract value will be $215,842,143. Estimated completion date is Oct. 31, 2015.

Work will be performed at Hunt Valley, Maryland 50%,  Afghanistan 30%,  Australia 5%, and Iraq 15%. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal (Aviation), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.

On September 30, 2014, the new government of Afghanistan signed the now nearly year old Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) with the United States. The agreement will become effective on January 1, 2015 and, thus, permit continued US support of Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF). The BSA also provides needed clarity on lingering issues for contractors, and, at the same time, creates potential new issues. According to PRNewswire — Versar, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded two new task orders under its existing Personal Services Contract in Afghanistan. The year-long task orders were awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Middle East District (MED). The Personal Services Contract primarily provides Afghan engineering and technical staff to work with USACE personnel in overseeing construction projects throughout Afghanistan. Tony Otten, CEO of Versar, said,
