The U.S. Navy's Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) is an instrumented laboratory that performs integrated three-dimensional hydrospace/ aerospace trajectory measurements covering the entire spectrum of undersea simulated warfare: calibration, classifications, detection, and destruction. Its vital mission is to assist in establishing and maintaining the naval ability of the United States through testing, evaluation, and underwater research.

According to the Department of Defense (DoD), a company out of Germantown, Maryland, is awarded a $430,016,852 contract for the operation and maintenance of the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC).
AUTEC is the Navy's large-area, deep-water, undersea test and evaluation range. Underwater research, testing and evaluation of anti-submarine weapons, sonar tracking and communications are the predominant activities conducted at AUTEC.

According to the Department of Defense, the contractor was awarded a $12,473,525 cost added to previously-awarded contract N66604-05-C-1277 for Hurricane Matthew repairs to the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC).
AUTEC is the Navy’s large-area, deep-water, undersea test and evaluation range. Underwater research, testing and evaluation of anti-submarine weapons, sonar tracking and communications are the predominant activities conducted at AUTEC. This modification increases the total value of the contract to $800,549,247.

Contract Award: $15 million for construction of Hurricane Matthew repairs in Andros Islands, Bahamas

According to the Department of Defense (DoD), the contractor was awarded $15,848,403 multiple award construction contract (N62470-13-D-6020) for construction of Hurricane Matthew Phase 4C repairs at Atlantic Underwater Testing and Evaluation Center, Andros Islands.
The work to be performed provides for construction, alteration, and repair of real property and utilities. Work also includes any and all ancillary and incidental mechanical and electrical support services needed to accomplish required work including, but not limited to, disconnects, temporary reconnects, removals, extensions, modifications, alterations, reinstalls, new components, and permanent reconnects necessary for functional operation.
