The Department of State has awarded B.L. Harbert International of Birmingham, Alabama, the design/build construction contract for the new U.S. Embassy in Lilongwe, Malawi. Miller Hull Partnership of Seattle is the design architect. The new campus, managed by Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO), will provide a secure, sustainable, and resilient platform for advancing the U.S. and Malawi's shared interests in democratic, accountable governance; fostering economic growth through the private sector; and supporting Malawi’s development primarily through health and education.

Department of Defense has awarded 10 companies a combined $400,000,000 construction contract for construction projects located primarily within the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Marianas area of operations.

Work to be performed provides for new construction, renovation/modernization, and routine repair/maintenance, by the method of design-build, at various federal or military facilities and installations on Guam. Work will be performed in Guam and is expected to be completed by January 2030.

Department of Defense has awarded a $25,976,855 firm-fixed-price task order (N3319121F4241) under a previously-awarded global contingency multiple-award construction contract N62470-19-D-8025 for airfield construction and improvements at Larissa Air Force Base in Larissa, Greece.

Work will be performed in Larissa, Greece, and is expected to be completed by November 2022. Fiscal 2021 other procurement (Air Force) funds in the amount of $25,976,855 will be obligated at the time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
