Department of Defense Awards CAE-USA, Inc. A subsidiary of CAE headquartered in Canada , $7 Million for construction on Al Mubarak Air Base in Kuwait. The facility is to be used for flight training. CAE is a global leader in modeling, simulation and training for civil aviation and defense.

CAE USA Inc., Tampa, Fla., was awarded a $7,198,001 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract (W912ER-13-C-0016) for the construction of a flight training facility at Al Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait.  This FMS contract is in support of Kuwait.  The cumulative total face value of this contract is $25,391,389. Fiscal 2013 Procurement funds are being obligated on this award.  The Army Corps of Engineers, Winchester, Va., is the contracting activity.

MTNT Energy, Inc. has been awarded four separate contracts for electrical work in Afghanistan during the last 3 years.  The US Army Corps of Engineer’s confidence and satisfaction with MEI’s performance was confirmed Friday for their work in Afghanistan through the years.  These contracts provide electrical support services for the installation of high voltage transmission and distribution of electrical services, repairs of existing services, and communication services in Afghanistan.

Department of Defense (DoD)MTNT Energy Inc., Anchorage, Alaska, was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract with a maximum value of $9,500,000 for the installation, maintenance and renovation of new and existing electrical and communication equipment in support of deployed U.S. Forces throughout Afghanistan.  Type of appropriation will be determined with each order.  One bid was solicited, with one bid received.  The Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia, Penn., is the contracting activity.

The Louis Berger Group has won a $100 million contract to design and engineer construction projects at embassies and consulate sites for the U.S. State Department. LBG signed the five-year task-order-based contract with the department’s bureau of overseas buildings operations in March, the company said Thursday.

The company has worked with the bureau and its predecessor foreign buildings operations organization since the early 1990s.
“We’re excited to be working with OBO as a prime contractor again,” said Jeffery Willis, senior vice president of LBG’s regional program and construction management business unit.
