G4S Technical Division submits request to protest a construction contract in Diego Garcia

G4S-SJC, LLC, of Fort Worth, Texas, protests the award of an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to Black Construction/MACE International, JV (BC/MI), of Barrigada, Guam, under request for proposals (RFP) No. N62742-13-R-1303, issued by the Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, for design-build and design-bid-build construction on the island of Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory. G4S challenges the agency's conclusion that its proposal was unacceptable. In addition, G4S asserts that Black Construction/MACE International proposal was unacceptable.

G4S-SJC was awarded this contract back in 2012 for $90M and lost it in 2014. The G4S Integrated Services ( technical division) of G4s, with over 30 years of focused technical and management experience. G4S-IS has built a diverse portfolio with specialized competencies in Base Operations Support, Hospital Services, Fleet Vehicle Maintenance, Facility Maintenance, Construction, Renovation, Military Family Housing Maintenance and other related services supporting DoD, DOE, IRS, GSA, FAA, USPS, NASA and other federal, state, municipal and commercial organizations around the globe.

U.S. Government Accountability Office prompty denied the protest submitted by G4S.
