Logisticians provide a variety of support services, both in CONUS and OCONUS for the Defense Department, to include maintenance planning and the performance of field and sustainment maintenance operations. On Tuesday DOD awarded SENTAL a $9 million contract for integrated logistics support in Afghanistan:
SENTEL Corporation, Alexandria, Va., was awarded a $9,609,809 cost-plus-fixed-fee, option-eligible, non-multi-year contract modification of contract (W52P1J-12-C-0077) for integrated logistics support and related services. Performance location will be in Afghanistan with incremental funding from fiscal 2013 Operations and Maintenance Army funds. This contract was a competitive acquisition via the web with five bids received. The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.
Vanquish Worldwide, LLC, an international company providing worldwide support services to the US Government and the commercial market sector, has been awarded the second option period for their prime contract issued by the US Central Command for National Afghan Trucking (NAT). NAT is one of the largest transportation contracts in Afghanistan and vital to the US bases throughout the country."I could not be more pleased with the job our employees have done to make the execution of this challenging contract successful.
