
Trace Systems, Inc. Small DoD contractor headquartered out of McLean, Virginia had their contract renewed today in Afghanistan. Trace Systems first won the contract back in 2010 after a full and open competition by the Bagram Regional Contracting Center.
Trace Systems has been supporting communications, networking, IT, and IA requirements throughout Southwest Asia (SWA) since 2002, and is a rapidly-growing small business with a large footprint throughout the USCENTCOM Area of Operations in support of the US Department of Defense and Joint Forces. Today Trace Systems has forty full-time engineers and technicians on the ground in Afghanistan as of 2012. DOD announced:
Trace Systems, McLean, Va., was awarded a $6,953,728 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, option-filled contract (W91B4N-10-C-5014) to procure information technology support services in Afghanistan. The cumulative total face value of this contract is $21,225,120. Fiscal 2013 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $2,167,526 are being obligated on this award. The U.S. Central Command, Joint Theater Support Contracting Command, Bagram, Afghanistan, is the contracting activity.
