Department of Defense (DoD)Berry Aviation Inc., San Marcos, Texas, is being awarded a $10,725,000 fixed-priced, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for Trans-Sahara short take-off and landing (STOL) services.  The Trans-Sahara STOL contract provides for casualty evacuation, personnel airlift, cargo airlift, and air drop services.  Work will be performed throughout the recognized political boundaries of Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sudan, South Sudan, Tunisia, and Uganda, with an expected completion date of June 27, 2017.

U.S. navy

Genco, a leader in lifecycle logistics(SM) solutions, said that one of its units has secured a contract with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to support the US Navy's presence in Bahrain and Centcom Theater.

The one-year, fixed-price contract, with four one-year options, is valued at $38.8 million. With its prior operation in Kuwait, Genco’ wholly-owned subsidiary Genco Infrastructure Solutions (GIS) brings proven experience in the region, a team fully trained to utilize DSS, and experience managing both third-country nationals (TCNs) and local nationals (LNs).

Dyncorp International Supply Air Support to LOGCAP Program in Afghanistan

Since 2010, DynCorp International’s Supply Operations Air Group (SOAG) has supported personnel and equipment transport in Southern Afghanistan. As part of the program, DI owns, operates and maintains six UH-1H helicopters that move DI team members and cargo between more than 30 Forward Operating Bases (FOBs). After flying a total of more than 7500 accident-free hours, the aircraft return to the U.S. to DI’s facility in Huntsville, Ala. From there, DI team members will perform any necessary maintenance and modifications so each helicopter will be prepared for whatever its next mission may bring.
