
Core Tech-AMEC-SKEC, LLC, Honolulu, Hawaii, is being awarded $89,918,305 for firm-fixed-price task order JQ01under a previously awarded multiple award construction contract (N62742-10-D-1307) for construction of a hardened fuel systems maintenance hangar at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam.
The facility will house multiple aircraft types and provide repairs, functionality checks, and inspections of aircraft fuel systems, fuel tanks, and related components in support of the Guam Strike mission. The work includes removal of existing pavement, site features, and utility relocation and incidental related work.
The task order is incrementally funded with the first increment of $56,000,000 being allotted at the time of award. The second increment will be funded later in fiscal 2015 at $33,918,305. The task order also contains one unexercised option, which, if exercised, would increase cumulative task order value to $90,600,805.
Work will be performed in Yigo, Guam, and is expected to be completed by March 2017. Fiscal 2012 military construction (Air Force) contract funds in the amount of $56,000,000 are obligated on this award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Three proposals were received for this task order. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Marianas, Guam, is the contracting activity.
