QATAR — KBR Services LLC has been awarded a $10.3 million contract modification under the U.S. Air Force's AFCAP V (Air Force Contract Augmentation Program) to continue base operations support in Qatar. This includes ongoing delivery of logistics, facility maintenance, and infrastructure services critical to sustaining U.S. operations in the region.
Department of Defense has been awarded an additional $68,398,134 to previously awarded (FA4890-17-C-0005) for Air Forces Central War Reserve Materiel (WRM) support.
Total cumulative face value of the contract is $476,162,882. Work will be performed at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates, and is expected to be completed Sept. 30, 2023.
Qatar is a sovereign Arab emirate, located in Western Asia, occupying the small Qatar Peninsula on the northeasterly coast of the much larger Arabian Peninsula. Its sole land border is with Saudi Arabia to the south, with the rest of its territory surrounded by the Persian Gulf. A strait in the Persian Gulf separates Qatar from the nearby island kingdom of Bahrain.
